1. Learn the Makoda song we did in class.

2. Bring the homework from the previous class - draw a house and identify its parts.

2. Complete the work on the India map by identifying the Ganga river, Vindhya mountain range, Thar desert and the Himalayas on the map.

Memorize the "Aloo Bola" poem to be able to recite in class.

1. Bring a vegetable (real, toy, or a picture) to class and speak 3-4 lines about it in Hindi. Extra credit! Learn the vocabulary for tastes from the class folder and try to use them in the show and tell.

2. Practice introduction lines (mera naam ..., mere school ka naam...).

2. Learn from parents names of one state each in the different directions in India.

In the next class, we will start learning about seasons. Draw a picture of a scenery in the spring season and/or get an item that represents spring. Try to use material covered in past classes. Parents can help the children in learning new words associated with Spring.

Children should learn about seasons and directions in Hindi before coming to the class.

1. Bring a fruit (real, toy or a picture) like apple, banana, grapes, pear, etc. to class and describe it in 2-3 lines - for example - using words for colors and taste.

2. Memorize the "Chhote Chhote Paanv" song.

3. Practice the introduction lines - saying name, age, name of school  and name of parent.

On a blank paper, draw a colorful picture of a house with family members and animals. Write your name on the paper. Show-and-tell this picture in class. Be imaginative!

2. Review all past vocabulary from class folder.

1. Complete the exercise on domestic animals in the class book.

2. Bring a toy or picture of an animal and say a few lines about it. Use colors and body parts in the sentences.

3. Review all past vocabulary learnt so far.

1. Color the picture of the flower and butterfly in the workbook. If that was done already, color some other picture from a coloring book and bring it to class.

2. Practice the introduction lines

Mera naam ... hai - मेरा नाम ... है

Main ... saal ka hoon - मैं ... साल का हूँ

Mere school ka naam ... hai - मेरे school का नाम है

 

1. Bring a toy to class and describe the toy using the vocabulary for body parts. Say 3-4 lines. Example: Ye spiderman hai. Ye spiderman ka haath hai. Ye spiderman ka sar hai...

2. Practice saying your age. "Main ... saal ka/ki hoon".

3. Complete the exercise on Body parts in the class book.

For the next class, please review the vocabulary for family members and for body parts that was covered in class.
