Hindi Homework:

1:  Each kid has to get 4 things or write four words ( or get pictures) of things that begin with any four hindi vowels.

2:  Write Ka, Kha, Ga and Gha in their worksheets.

 

Culture Homework: Color the states/cities kids have visited in India and from where their parents are. Please note that we have the older version of the map and if you have visited one of the newer states, you can draw a boundary for that.

Help your child draw and cut out the letters Ka, Kha, Ga and Gha on a sheet of paper.

Hindi: The children have to write Cha, Chh and Ja in their worksheets. Each child should learn 5 words beginning with Cha and Chh.

Culture:
In the spirit of Halloween, we will have a dress up party at Gurukul on 28th Oct. The theme is "India". Here are a few ideas from students
of Class 2B: Sachin Tendulkar, Ram, elephant, peacock, Hanuman, Radha, Sita, Aishwarya Rai....Each child will be asked to speak a couple of lines (in Hindi or English) about his character. You are welcome to join us for this. We will send more information and reminders closer to the date.

 

The children have to write ja and jha in their worksheets. They have to get 3-4 pages out of an old magazine. We will be making an alphabet chart and will be using the magazines to cut out the letters and paste them.

Help your child revise color names in hindi.

The children have to write the letters Ta and Tha in their worksheets. They also have to practise writing Aa, Ta, Tha and Jha as they will be asked to write themdown in class next time. The tricks to learn these letter is:

Aa is like a number 3 with a sleeping 'T'.

Ta is like a lowercase 'c' with a capital 'T' on top.

Tha is like an 'o' with a 'T' on top.

Jha is like a Ii with a sleeping 'T'

 

Write Da (for Darr) and Dh (for Dhol) in your note book. Make sure you have finished all the previous writings as well.

The children should revise the alphabets learnt so far. Upto Ta, Tha, Da and Dha.

Please ask your child to revise the hindi alphabets and to practise writing them either in their folder or if they have already completed the worksheets in the folder, they should write on a sheet of paper.

Please help your child revise the letters learnt so far. If you can then help them make the correct sound. Also, the children should write the letters learnt so far in their workbook. If they have already written in their workbooks then ask them to write on a sheet of paper.

Please revise with your child all the alphabets that have been taught in class. Also have them write Tuu, Tha, The and Dha in their worksheets. If they have already written these letters in their work sheets then have them write them on a sheet of paper.

Hindi homework is to revise all the hindi alphabets and practise writing them in the worksheets.
