Read the 2nd story "Aam ki Guthali" from the book 'Aao Padhen aur Seekhen' and complete the exercise on page 10 "Batao" and the first exercise on Page 12 "Padho Samajho aur likho"

The kids have been given five sentences on a sheet of paper.  For each sentence they have to write it in the following forms :

 

1. Feminine Singular

2. Masculine Plural

3. Feminine Plural

 

If the space on the sheet is insufficient, then they can do the homework in their notebooks.

In Home Work, students should write five sentences on their law or rule that they would propose if they were Prime Minister of India, and describe how they would carry it out.

Read the lesson 5 "Inase Milo" on page 22 from the book "Aao Padhe aur seekhe.  Read the word meanings given on page25.  Complete the three exercises on page 26 and the first exercise "Padho aur samajho" on page 27.

Write a brief essay in Hindi on how you celebrated Diwali this year, why we celebrate DIwali, what you like the most about this festival etc.  It should be of minimum 15 sentences.  Write on a sheet of paper which can be submitted in class.

Read the story no 11 in Gyaan Sudha : NEENA

Panchayat will be discussed further in next class and students are asked to obtain information from their parents about Panchayat: what it is, how it is held, what roles does it have.

We will have a competition in the next class while the PTC is going on.  The kids will be asked to speak for about 2 minutes in Hindi on any of the following topics :

The kids can email soft copy of their work to us, the teachers, for a quick review preferably latest by Thursday 5/1.  They have to come prepared with their project to the next class on 5/4 and bring all the materials that they may need for final touches / completion.

We will meet at 12.30 pm at Redmond High.  Please help the kids complete their presentations and rehearse their speech.  We will not have time for dry runs on annual day as Redmond High is not available for use before 12.30 pm.  Please organize & co-ordinate with other parents, if the kids need to meet in their groups during the week to complete their projects.

 

Please dress up the kids in Indian clothes for the Annual day since the theme of the booth is India.  Also the cricket group can dress in cricket clothes / India tees if you have one.  The same holds for other sports / groups.

 

Please ensure that the kids bring their posters/ trifolds and other demo items like the sports equipment etc..  The list is available on the class website in previous class reviews.

 

Please ensure that the kids have had good breakfast / meal.  Like previous years, snacks will be provided at the event.
