1. Write 3 sentences (not words but sentences; more than 3 sentences is not a problem) about Rabindranath Tagore.

2. How many pure vyanjans are their in Devanagiri script (which means not tr, ksh..)

3. Please do the  Abhyaas 1  Question2 through Question5 from the book Vyakran Abhyaas. If done in the notebook (all the questions plus answers not just words) extra 20 points.

 

For example, to get these extra 20 points, you must  write in this fashion in the notebook:

 

सूर्य की किरणें प्रकाश दूर करती हैं ।
and not just one word like प्रकाश

4. Please find the paryayavachi words on the class website. There will be a Q & A on these words in the class.

5.Read the Chapter 1 of the book "Let's Read and Learn".

 

P.S.  Also, please ask your parents/ siblings, anybody who can help in Hindi to do the spell check and punctuation. Hindi has viraam instead of a period, otherwise the punctuation is similar to English. Your parents should be able to help you with unless you do the homework late Saturday night or Sunday morning or while driving to Gurukul. Do not procrastinate.

4. Please do question number 1 of the exercise on page 20 from the book नवीन भारती. Make sure you write the entire sentence and not just the missing words.

Ongoing weekly work required -- (30 min a week)

To explore culture of “My India” via MultiMedia (Photographs, Sounds, Video and personal experiences)

• Place in India where you (or your parents were born)
• Places in India which you love or have visited (e.g. Taj-Mahal)
• Culture of India (Festivals, Food, Clothes) with which you can associate with

• Explore geography and history of “My India”
• Identify languages, food, traditions and festivals of “My India”
• Identify “fun facts” that relates “my India”

• A PC with internet connection
• A USB data key
• Your personal collection of photographs, videos etc that you want to share OR you can download same form internet
• Your voice …You will be required to speak about “My India” in Hindi :)
• Lot of motivation

What parts of India will be coverd?

5 Groups will be formed

1. North
2. South
3. East
4. West
5. Center

• Learn more about regions of India on Internet, By talking to your parents or by reading books
• Collect relevant information like books, photos etc 
• Share same in the class in your own voice
• If it’s a digital media then integrate it with class video

• The end deliverable of the project is a 3-5 min group Video.

• All the video narration will be done in Student’s voice.
• All of the video editing will be done in class.

Till we have achieved a good understanding of “My India” 

P.S. Some of you have books from the last year and had written in the books, in that case, please do this year’s homework in your notebook. It is almost impossible for me to understand what you have written if you try to erase and  rewrite in that book.

Look for the above words in the chapter, चतुर लोमड़ी. Write the sentence where the word  was used. Write the meaning of the word, and, last, translate the sentence in English.
2.Write the summary of the story,चतुर लोमड़ी, in two paragraphs ( about 10 sentences).

3.Write 3 sentences on Sheikh Chilli.

इस बार का गृह अभ्यास है:-
1.Write three sentences on "Thanksgiving day".

2.Do अभ्यास 5 of the book, व्याकरण अभ्यास.

3.. Write simple sentences with the following words, at least two sentences using each word.  No difficult words or complicated  sentences should be written. The sentences should show that you understand the use of the words. You will be asked to read aloud in the class at least 3-5 sentences out of your homework.

मैं, मुझे, तुम, तुम्हें, में, पर, कहाँ, ये, वो, कौन, क्या, है, हूँ
e.g. ये कौन है?
    वो काम करता है।
    मैं लड़की हुँ।

4.Read for ten minutes, five times a week, to your parents/family, or, have your parents read to you.  Talk about what you were able to comprehend. Mark a star for each ten minute you read on your homework notebook.

5.Watch a Hindi movie and write its name. Rate it  from 1  to 5 star. 1 being impossible to watch and 5 being  I SHOULD WATCH!!
